About Becka

All the above.

I started with recipes, followed the pull into energy work, and built a career helping brands tell better stories along the way.

Maybe you found me through Going Grainless, WellHaven, Energy School, my world traveller era, or something else entirely. All of it belongs here.

Where it started

My background is in marketing, but when I couldn’t get a job in the field, I went into sales and excelled at it. Alongside that, I started sharing my health journey and gluten-free recipes online through Going Grainless.

When brands started reaching out for partnerships, it blew my mind… I was just creating for fun at the time, hoping it would give me some kind of experience to get a job. Those relationships grew, and soon I was helping with their social media, strategy, and digital marketing too. I’d ended up building the experience I’d been told I needed.

In 2018, I took both my content and brand work full time and started working for myself. I’ve never looked back.

Following the pull

Working for myself brought up more than business questions. My own healing journey led me to discover my own magic, trust my intuition, and explore what I was capable of.

I trained in Reiki, Alchemical Healing, Inner Child Healing, Past Life Healing, and Mindset Coaching, eventually co-founding a healing studio and creating Energy School.

Through programs, a membership, and private mentorship, I taught thousands of women around the world. The work changed my life, but the community we built is what I’ll always treasure most.

Finding my way back

In March 2024, my dad died. My life stopped, and I couldn’t return to helping others in the way I had before.

During a medicine journey in the deepest part of my grief, I asked what I needed. The answer came as a question: What brings you joy?

I saw myself making recipes, taking photos, and sharing ideas again. Following that feeling helped carry me through the hardest time of my life.

All together, here.

Today, I’m a full-time creator and the founder and creative director of Energy Media. I’ve built a career from my creativity, but food, spirituality, healing, movement, and travel are what fuel it. This is where I bring all of myself to the table.

This blog is where it all comes together. The recipes I make, the practices that elevate my energy, the places I explore, and the things I’m figuring out along the way.

Twelve years after I first started sharing online, I’m giving old-school blogging a comeback. And giving myself a place to create simply because I want to.
